Problem Note 20262: Input Data Source node does not stop running, displays a green border after restarting project, or shows Running DATASOURCE_NAME status
When running the Input Data Source node in SAS® Enterprise MinerTM, you might encounter the following behavior:
- the node never completes running
- the node displays a green border, even after restarting the project
- the status bar reads: Running DATASOURCE_NAME
The problem occurs when the ANYDTDTEw., ANYDTDTMw., or ANYDTTMEw. informat is associated with at least one variable on the underlying table referenced by the Data Source. This occurs even when the variable role is set to "Rejected".
To circumvent this problem, follow one of these two suggestions:
- Change the Output type property in the Input Data Source node from
VIEW to TABLE.
-
Remove the INFORMAT attribute from the variables in the input data.
You can use the following code, submitted in a Program Editor, to
remove the informat:
proc datasets library=mylib;
modify testdata;
informat start_date;
run;
quit;
|
where MYLIB refers to the Library containing your data, TESTDATA
refers to the name of your data table in that library, and START_DATE
refers to the name of your variable(s) with the ANYDTDTEw., ANYDTDTMw., or ANYDTTMEw. informat.
Once you remove the informat from the data table, recreate the
Data Source, then add the new Data Source to your diagram. Run the
Input Data Source node.

For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
